And just think, all I used to do is cut in half and bake it.

I'm with you, they should have offered a safe free ride home and then this tragedy would have never happened.

Have a hoppin' Thursday.

No. Stand on the bed, feet well apart, samurai sword in one hand, squash in the other. Gently toss... yada yada... asian swearwords... yada yada... mountain of brown sugar and butter... yadayada...ice cream. Clean up stringy things before Halloween. You are welcome.

Ok. I'm very naughty today I guess, but that (especially the beginning) came across as one long phallic display. First, look at those squash! She goes on and on about how hard it is, slippery, getting a good grip, losing your grip, avoiding the seeds.

I'm going away now.

I cut mine up the same way, or as Linda said, just cut them in half and bake them with some butter, salt and a little pepper. Mmmm....and acorn squash is great prepared that way too.

Now you done flung a cravin' on me for squash and there ain't a speck of squash in the house, LOL! ;o)

Happy Friday and weekend!

Love and hugs,

Diane

I know that this seemed kind of out there; but I had no idea how to cut a butternut squash. When Daughter #2 called to ask me how, I immediately sprung into action!

(Well, if you call sitting on your keester perusing how-to videos on YouTube action.)

Anyway; I came across this one. I also have a sudden craving(never thought I'd ever consider butternut squash fries!)

However, I now will forever have a slightly different view of this little cooking segment; due in no small part (puns aside) to Bitty!

Thanks you guys! This one was fun!

;0)

Mom, you are great. Another way is to wait until the muscle comes home and have him do it. That's what I did.

Dear Vikki,
That was great! Thank you. I never knew how to deal with them so I avoided buying Butternut Squash. I think fries would be excellent.
On the grocery list for next week. My husband will be thrilled to have something different for supper.
Hope you are staying warm. Spring will come one of these days.
