Sunday Serenade

I love this one!!!!

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.

What we were up to on a Saturday!

Since this our last day together for two weeks, we decided to do it up! I know! We're livin' on the edge!!

We went to Great Harvest Bakery. These guys know their sh-tuff! When I don't feel like making my own bread, they have offerings in the baked-goods department to die for! Thank goodness they are 20 miles away, or I would never do my own baking! ;)

After that; K. decided to go to Title Wave Books. He wanted to get something to read to help him relax after training while he's gone. That's the main reason for our journey to this wonderful literary stock-pile! Well----he found a very nice book on dog training; and I found eight lovely little gems for me!

As per usual. :}

At least; I will have someting to do while he's absent; beside keeping up with Gibson! ;)

So haunting. I love these two together. What a wonderful, yet unexpected combination!

Ain't Life amazing?

I'm making an attempt at making Linguicia Sausage tonight. We'll see how that goes!

Today was a difficult day. We found out that our beautiful, sweet Gibson has a 3.5
Tricuspid Valve Displasia. That means a massive heart murmur. The best hope is that he could live for 1-3 years. I may not have all the specs totally right; but I know that he won't be around for much more than 3-5 years at best.

We're definitely keeping him.

We will not let him suffer.

I love him already.

It's like if you have a child, you have a commitment. With any luck, Gibson will have a wonderful life.

I am here to try to ensure that.

Good thoughts and prayers are most welcome.

:]

Finally finished!

We have completed "The Great Bathroom Overhaul!" Here are a few pics to prove that K. and I can work well together--if we have to. I guess. No; really! We can! I buy all the wrong stuff; K. makes it look good. See! Ah, love! ;)

Above the bath.

Old cabinet and fixtures.

"Lovely" linoleum tiles, circa 1980's.

Former vanity and sink area.

Loo portal and floor before putting down cement backer board and sealer. EEEWWW!!!

Planning the lay-out.

Grout; yay!

Inspector Kitteh sez,"Take a break!"

Are we there yet?!

Re-installation of the throne--AAAHHHOOOHHHWWWWAAAHHH!!!

Old shower curtain; new home. Viola! We have been saving this for about 6-7 years.
Wow, talk about recycling!

Details, details.

Finishing touches!

New hardware.

This water-closet update has been Gibson approved!
(Another gratuitous awesome puppy shot: Indulge me!)
