What Do I want To Be When I Grow Up?

There were several things that I was interested in "being" when I reached Adulthood. The pre-requisite mother/housewife, a nurse, school teacher, singer...

I failed miserably at anything that I tried; but the person that I most wanted to be like was my Grandma Truitt. She was awesome!

Her favorite Saint was Mary, of course.

She was the picture of love and patience. She was also the most FUN person that I had ever met, as a child. I still miss her greatly even now as an adult. Whenever she was alive, I would think of her and she would call me on the telephone. If she was thinking of me, I would ring her. Without fail.

The best person ever!

I miss her so much. So much...

There are some folks who help me get by, though.

What do want to be when you grow up?

Discuss.

Mom, I think you are a wonderful woman who succeeds and can succeed at many things. OH, and you aren't growing up YET!

I love you!

Hmm, now that I think about it, one of my want to be's was a nun! Of course, I changed my mind later. Did want to be a wife and mother as well. I think I suceeded at mother, but failed miserably as a wife. Then writer, which I did become, although these days I write sparsely.

What a sweet little girl in the picture!

Happy New Year!
Hugs,

I wanted to go to Paris and study art and then open a gallery. That was when I was very young. As a young adult I wanted to be a Distribution Manager and I did do that for 12 years until I married Michael. I have been somewhat of a gypsy most of my life. Never lived long in a place and never became "anything". I am kind of a late bloomer.

My secret life is that I love doing readings and helping people. But that takes so much out of you.

Now I am older, wiser and much happier. Alot more stable and do not feel the need to roam. I still love art and creating beautiful things. That will probably never change.

What made you want to explore this topic? What do you still want to do? Write a cookbook? Become a chef? There are endless possibilities out there if you are open to them.

Talk soon, Linda

When I grow up I want to be a very, very old man.

'Till then, I'll be happy just kickin' around in the dirt and farting little tunes.

Happy New Year, Vikki, and I'll see you next year. ;)
