Franiam; I love the inspirational aspect of this song. It boosts my mood every time.
Diane; I'm doing well; just a little down. I am so ready for the election to be over as well! My brain is in complete political shenanigans overload. :0[
Dear Vikki, People do have the power if they will only exercise their rights! I jog in place.... November 4th will soon be here... Until that time we can all just do a little yoga! Love and light, Sherry
Sherry; We should all jog in place and harness that energy. What we don't use we could share and it sure helps the brain function better. MY brain could use all the help it can get! ;0)
Great video and lyrics. I feel this is the most important election I have ever voted in. It is so great to see so many people turning out to vote early. Here in Spokane we can no longer go to the polls, we have to mail in our ballot. I miss the polls. Have a fun Friday.
Saoirsedaily2; I, too agree that this election is monumental. I haven't seen such furvor since I was a kid.(A long, long time ago!) It's exciting and exhausting all at once. :)
Vikki--so cool, so right, and so perfect going into this home stretch!
Back in the day (waaaay back, when I was an undergrad), we all revered Patti as punk's downtown prophet. And here she is, as always, speaking truth to power all these years later. Thanks for this great shot in the arm.
Tim
PS: Before you tune out the election nonsense, you should check out David Sedaris's piece in this week's New Yorker ("Undecided"). Without mentioning either candidate, he pretty much sums up the difference using airplane food as his metaphor--it's hysterical.
Here's the link. (Sorry, I don't know how to make it clickable.)
I really liked the concepts behind her work. She stated in my art text when asked why she painted that it was because she was so lonely. "Porque estoy muy sola"
I can't imagine what it might have been to have been married to Diego Rivera, but I hear that it wasn't too cool.
Thanks for the link. People do have the power. As it goes tonight we might have Obama. There are a great many items on the agenda and he can't touch them for 77 days. We need radical change and like it or not, Obama is the chosen one. Give him hope, give him love, give him energy to do what has to be done.
I've got a Phd in procrastination, but once I get started on something, my OCD tends to kick in. I can be pretty stubborn about what I believe in. I'm an undeniable sap!
